I'm seriously considering getting the Ferrari 1000. I want a 12" notebook because I travel extensively and the smaller it is, the more discreet it can be transported (ie, in my smaller backpack). The hardened case is also a major plus because sometimes I'm travelling for weeks at a time and it's usually in countries where you don't want to advertise you have a notebook like having a notebook bag slung over your shoulder.

I'm very interested in getting an SSD drive but they don't seem to be widely available.

Does anyknow know, if I get a Ferarri can I rip it open and throw an SSD in?

Alternatively, what are some other sturdy 12" notebooks that have nVidia or ATI graphics + SSD? I'd go as large as 13.x" if it meant a superior product.

as far as i'm aware all SSD drives are compatible with the current hard drive standards and will work fine. Availability is an issue as well as the price of the device.
