    Hi guys,
I have acer acpire v3-571 with e-ips screen.
I know it is not the cherry on the top's cake as a screen, because it is not s-ips, but do you think this is acceptable level of backlight bleeding here:

    100% brightness, completely dark room:

    What do you think?

I think it's a little bit more than what I'd care to see. At the same time though, I don't think it's terribly bad. Maybe my standards are low though.

Agree, it is ok on the lower end. How is it in a well light environment?

Actually in a well lighted environment is almost (98%) impossible to be spotted.
I was thinking of getting replacement, but this screen is dead/stuck pixel free and I am worried if the next one could be much worse than this one..

Do you think that from Acer use cheap e-ips panels and if I insist for warranty replacement, the next one will be pretty much the same?
I heard that this panel is used in X220 also, where 65% of the customers suffer from backlight bleeding problem..

I seriously doubt they would grant you a warranty replacement. It's not faulty- all notebook have some back-light bleeding so they could and probably would argue that it works like it was supposed to- no dead pixels or anything and if you wanted a notebook with far better screen you should have bought a more expensive one.

Don't get me wrong- I sympathize with you but if I was working for Acer (and I'm not) that's what I'd say. Not faulty- no replacement.

    You are right.
I think same way. It is just the nature of the LCDs nowadays...

You can't get a warranty replacement, but probably store replacement if you buy from big box store.

A 3k alienware or 500bucks monitor bleed as well, so you dun need to regret for the purchase :)

Yeah, I will live with it.
I bought it from a PC store, but they won't replace it rather than sending it back to Acer and most probably the answer they will get for eventual replacement will be negative. I think there is a tolerance limit for issues like this and mine is more like below..

I have the same display and it looks quite similar to pictures. so I guess it is not a problem and will not validate replacement.
