Don't want to annoy you but it doesn't seem to be worth it.
Your HD5730 scored around 1600 OCed in 3DMark11.
This one is just 2000 without OC and considering it's getting hot you may not be able to OC it that much.
It would have to be able to do 2500 to be really worth the money.
BTW how much? If you don't mind me asking.

£200, which yes is quite pricey.

However I have upgraded the panel to 1080p and the 3dmark test is only run at 1280x768.

When moving to 1080p its going to make a world of difference.

Going to sell the 5730 now to make some of that money back.

If I had been at 1366x768 then the 5730 is the PERFECT card at that sort of resolution, lots of core grunt for shader effects and plentry of bandwidth at 1100mhz mem.

    EDIT: 06 bench:

    Congratulations on the new card!

The heating you have mentioned is somewhat worrying, what brand is it? (Sapphire, asus, Msi etc).

Bit pricey but, things are like that in the UK.

Have fun with your new card mate!

I would recommend you to check your power inputs.
Q9200 + 5850HD is very very power consuming make sure the adapter/battery can handle it.

I've undervolted the GPU to 0.9V and clocked it to 650/1000 (Ram is uncovered so i'll leave that alone).

I've been able to clock the CPU a little further as the fan is based off the CPU temp it actually helps it spin up faster.
