It takes a long time for my laptop to connect to the internet. Anything I can do to make it access the internet quick at start-up (make it the laptop's first priority)? Thank you.

What kind of Internet connection? Does your computer freeze for 1 minute?

I don't know about your 5620, but my 5570 has WiFi turned on as I boot up, so by the time the Vista Desktop loads, I am already connected to my home WiFi network and of course, am already online (connected to the Internet).

I don't think it gets any faster than that, just however long it takes to get to the Desktop.

I have to wait for the laptop to load all startup programs and then about 30 seconds to a minute for it to connect to the internet, so freaking bs. I was a big fan of Acer's, but now I'm having 2nd thoughts.

I'm trying to connect wireless at early startup rather than wait for it to fully start all programs and wait an additional 30 seconds to 1 min for it to connect to the internet.

Guys I have another problem. My Acer connects to my wireless at startup but then a seconf later it says "limited connectivity". I then have to disable and re-enable the wireless to get it to connect to my wireless base.

Anyone know why it is doing this and how to fix it????
