    Hi,

I spilled some beer on my Acer Travelmate 8200's keyboard. The result was only around 5 keys remained functional.

I ordered another (8200) keyboard of Ebay and attached it. The same problem still exists and only a few keys work, however they are different keys than before.

For example on the old keyboard the escape key works but not the spacebar, on the replacement keyboard the spacebar works but not escape ?

The replacement keyboard was second hand so maybe it is faulty too?

BTW, I can use a USB keyboard and the machine works fine for weeks now. All the contacts look fine and no drink residue is visible inside the laptop.

Anyone shed any light on this prob, greatly appreciated !

    :)
