It's not possible (if I recall all my experimentation) to create a windows Boot Disk, from what comes pre-installed on the 8204 without having any other windows disks.

Does that sound right? Or does anyone actually recall creating a bootable windows install disk from what is on an 8204 (or any other recent Acer for that matter)

I would also like to know. I am about to purchase the TravelMate 8210 and heard that is is best to format and start with a fresh install. Does the laptop come with a re-install disk? Can I create one? If not, would I then have to buy Windows XP Pro elsewhere?

Also, what are the main differences between the home and pro versions?

Also, when I am buying the laptop, am I also purchasing a Windows XP product key? Would it be located on the notebook somewhere? If so, would I be able to barrow the windows xp pro disk from a friend and then use my product key?
