    Hi there,

7 months ago I bought a laptop from Acer direct not the official company, been trying to get a responce from Acer tech support regards to my graphics over heating when playing games and then shuts down (apires 8930 £800 pound it cost gaming laptop)
anyway they didnt send no email back so I rung em up (no one from this country of course) they said they cannot give me a case number as its geting dealt with thro the online section) 15 days past and i got an email to say send it in we will repair it, but coz its been 2 weeks I tried to open it and see if I could clean the vents, other forums said it collects lots of dust) anyways i tried to open it taking all screws out but after it I still couldnt get inside it, so I just screwed it back up and that was that. for some reason I have always been missing a screw on the bottom and there was never no warranty sticker so do you think acer will repair it?

checking the status online Ive had case open, recieved and now under repair but as its been so long just thought i would ask and see if any1 else has had warranty issues.

It would've made sense to check the terms of your warranty online before cracking it open.
That being said, warranties tend to allow for memory and hard drive upgrades by the end user, and most times to do that you NEED to take the main panel off.
I know in Canada Acer will service your machine regardless of how many times you've opened it, as long as the original CPU and GPU are in there (RAM and hard drives can be upgraded, of course).

If you are in a friendly neighbourhood how about finding a tech store to get the right screw and unscrew yourself ;) Oops didn't realize you had already send it to Acer
