I purchased an Acer Aspire 3000 approx 6 months ago and have recently had problems with the LCD. Suddenly, within the last three weeks the screen will freeze and vertical lines will appear. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem or is it a hardware issue? Please reply.

sounds like a hardware problem to me.

Acer charges 80-100 euros + tax to fix screens under warranty
