    LCD not working after RAM upgrade

    i tried to upgrade the ram in my acer aspire 5749 and now the monitor doesnt work. anybody got any ideas what i did, or how i can fix it?

    Reseat the LCD cable on the board; it may have gotten loose.

    Connect to an HD TV or monitor with VGA.

    id try the old ram in it first or connect to tv or monitor. if it works on tv or monitor it could be a dead cable/backlight/screen/inverter.

    This. Try the old memory first. Most likely the new memory is bad/incompatible and is causing a no post issue (which means no display.)
