I have an Acer Aspire 5315. For the longest time, I was running the older edition of the BIOS. One day I decided to upgrade that BIOS. Turns out, something went wrong- and I'm thinking it has something to do with RAM voltage.
I'm running Windows 7. I have a 2ghz processor and 2gb of RAM. Its not the best, but its made for a pretty smooth machine. After the aforementioned BIOS upgrade, suddenly the machine started freezing up on me every two-three minutes for about sixty seconds at a time. Heavily annoying.
Note: I tried a fresh install of Windows 7. Didn't resolve the issue.
Note: I contacted Acer support and asked if there was a prior version of the BIOS to download and flash. There wasn't.
Note: I searched the web everywhere for a prior version of the BIOS along with a flash tool. Nothing.
Your help would be much appreciated.![]()

Which BIOS version did you install?
-
It was v.1.43
I mean, if there is anyone out there with a flash tool for an earlier version of the BIOS, please, by all means provide me with a download link. This freezing up every two minutes is a total nightmare. -
Try 1.45; it may help.
