There always has to be a dummy, and its me. I just bought an ACER, I live in Malaysia and will be in UK for 4 months. My idea to use my ACER to check emails/chat with friends back in Malaysia. What do I need to connect with internet, while I am in UK. At the moment besides my laptop, I just have the connections for recharge of battery. Is it a dongal, and can you buy these on a pay as you go scenario ?

Depends where you are staying, if you are saying with friends they may have the internet, problem solved, or you could visit Starbucks/Costa or McDonalds and get free internet :)

But you can buy a dongle, for around £30, and it costs around £10 for 1gb data. I know you can buy one on pay as you go with 3. Details:

Internet on the go with Mobile Broadband from 3

    Hope this helps.
