Hey, I have an Acer 5742 laptop. A few months ago something perculiar started happening in which the internet would suddenly stop responding after a while. Browsersd would not work, other applications such as skype wouldnt either even thought it would say im connected and this problem would not be fixed until I restarted the laptop.

It is most deifnitely a problem with the laptop, other devices stay connected so i know its not the ISP. I have also tested this on other connections using an ethernet cable and Wifi...all with the same outcome of the internet not responding

It wasn't until recently I noticed this happens after 4 hours of the laptop being switched on I was wondering if anybody had any ideas. I have already ruin multiple anti-virus & spyware scans using malwarebytes & norton anti virus with no help.

Any sugestions would be appreciated, thanks

Maybe something in Advanced Power Settings? Try resetting the wireless adapter settings and maybe PCI.
