    Laptop powers on shuts off repeats again

    1) When I switch the power on the laptop first time it shuts down after 3 seconds and then it would power up and repeat the shut down after 3 seconds again again and so on.

    2) I sometime can get laptop going again if I hold the power switch or F10 for a few seconds

    3) I am able to get into BIOS after pressing F2. But if I use Linux mint or install windows software the screen freezes and stops me from doing anything.

    But now the laptop will not get past step 1) above.

    The culprit could be one of the peripherals.
    I suggest you try remove and replace one by one starting with RAMS, Graphics card and so on.... (trial and error)
    I have strong gut feelings that your graphics card is the culprit.
