    Hi guys
    I can't seem to find the release notes for the last BIOS update for my now aging Aspire 5102WLMi.
    I see the latest (and apparently last), BIOS update is version 3.13.
    (I have v3.10A at the moment).

    The problem is, no matter how much I look, I can't seem to find the release notes as to what problems v3.13 addresses. I won't bother updating unless it addresses an issue I might find useful.

    FWIW, this originally came with XP Media edition, but was later "upgraded" to Vista Home Premium via the ACER Upgrade program, way back when.

    Can ANYONE find the release notes for v 3.13 of the BIOS for this???
    (The .zip file generally includes the realease notes as to what was "fixed", but this one came with NO information when I downloaded it.

    If you can find the release notes for the last BIOS availabe for this Laptop, you are the search guru of all time! (Because I sure can't) :confused:

    v3.13:

    1. Fix usb device lock 5~10 sec when entering windows XP desktop.
    2. Fix can't return bios from 3.12 or 3.11 to 3.10 by winflash.

    v3.12:

    1.Fix S3 resume hang at 16h when system install 4G memory.
    2.Fix system soemtimes will auto. restart at 1Ah when system install 4G memory.
    3.Fix System Memory Can't Be Detected 4GB on Discrete Platform

    v3.11:
    1.Add Code for Support 4GB Memory
    2.Update Flash Utility to V1.6.7.0

    I wonder if you can help me as well...I was reading that my wife's Aspire 5100 with an MK-36 processor could possibly be upgraded to a TL-60 or TL-62 processor.

    I was all but ready to buy one of these processors (now a bargain at 30-40 bucks..) but I was curious to know if I could put anything beefier in the thing.

    Is there a list somewhere of what processors this latest BIOS will recognize??

    ...but I am not sure if this is corroborated anywhere. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. THANKS!!! :)

    I use a TL-66 (2,3Ghz) in my 5100.The only problem is heat...I have to multipler it down to about 1,8Ghz if the fan noise wont make me crazy...
    I use Rightmark CPU clock utilit to do this.
