    Hello and thanks for reading!

I've had problems with crackling and popping noises when playing music or videos for a number of months now (occurring even during headphone use) and have decided to try and get to the bottom of it (finally). I'm running Windows 7 64 bit.

Upon searching similar problems experienced by others, I thought the crackling might have something to do with my latency. I have been using DPC Latency Checker to view my latency while disabling device drivers one at a time and so far the two drivers which seem to place my latency consistently in the red are my two Broadcom Network Adapters. This led me to download the most recent drivers for my devices (16b5 for Netlink Gigabit Ethernet and 4358 for 802.11n Network Adapter) but even still, my latency still skyrockets with either enabled but remains firmly in the green (with some red spikes every once in a while) with both disabled.

Can anyone help me with my problem?

    Thanks again
