I reinstalled Launch Manager after getting a wireless router to enable the WLAN. However, none of the lights are on on the hotkey buttons and they do nothing when pressed, including the ones to launch programs. The same story when I installed eManager as well. The bar showing the volume changing when using Fn and the up key displays though. What's going on? I need to go wireless!!![]()

Also to inform you better, launch manager simply shows you that your volume is increasing and decreasing. It also shows when you enable or disable devices (wireless / wired / bluetooth / etc.).
To make sure your wireless is enabled go into E_Powermanagement and check there to see what is enabled or disabled on your laptop. If you need to "go wireless" that mean you need to enable the wireless device on your pc.
Check my screen shot of your power management screen to see if yours is enabled or not.
If you did a reinstall of windows (not sure if you did nor not you didn't mention) but make sure that your wireless card is installed and enabled first and foremost.

Hey, thanks for your reply. No I haven't done a reinstall of Windows. Well, qtzgacer.exe is not running in the msconfig startup window at all, so it's not there to be checked hmmm. Also, my laptop didn't come with ePower Management and it's not on the software CD!

Can you please post the model # of your acer? It might helps us narrow it down a bit.

Did you by any chance install Logitech SetPoint, a new version most likely? I found that after installing it it messed up my Launch Manager.
-
I've got the Acer Aspire 5010. No, haven't installed any Logitech thing. I'm in the UK, by the way, dunno if that makes any difference (as in pre-installed software on Acer systems)!

Well on my Aspire 5002 I installed a new version of Logitech Setpoint, it messed up the Acer Launch Manager program, the OSD wouldn't show anymore, also in the options of Launch Manager, it would say that No Wireless Device exists, it messed it up pretty badly, took me awhile before I could trace the problem. Now I don't use SetPoint, and if I want to use it I just install an older version.

I have the exact same issue with my Aspire1690 DDR ver. I have the mx518 mouse with setpoint and the uberoptions addon, and find that the lower OSD vanishes. Does anyone have an old version that I could use or a fix? ty
