Hey all,
I have an Acer 5920, and am having an issue with the multimedia keys, I got them to work in Winamp by updating the drivers, but now Launch Manager is acting up on me.
Whenever
1. Acer Launch Manager is running (the process)
2. Windows Media Player is closed
3. I hit the play/pause multimedia key
This menu pops up in the center of my screen:
![]()
Clicking on a drive when an audio CD is present will open WMP and tell it to play that CD.
If WMP is open, this menu does not appear, however then WMP steals away my hotkeys. If the process for Launch Manager isn't running, then this menu does not appear (however that messes up the functionality of the laptop, so just shutting launch manager off isn't a valid fix for this).
What I want to know is, what setting, .ini entry, or registry key can I kill to get this menu to disappear? As a winamp user, having this menu pop up whenever I play/pause my music is pretty annoying, especially when it minimizes a game.
I was looking around the HKLM\Software\Quanta\QtZgAcer\Settings\Buttons\Play/Pause, but there is nothing to indicate that anything extra is launched when you hit play/pause, but I am 100% positive that it is launch manager since the menu doesn't appear when Launch Manager isn't running.
Maybe changing the entries in the mmkeybd.cfg would do something?
Thanks!

HKLM\Software\Quanta\QtZgAcer\Settings\
Change "Play Button Bring Player" to 0 and that should stop the menu from popping up.
