I have an Acer 2450 TravelMate laptop connected to an Acer
X223W LCD monitor. Is it possible to leave the laptop on with the lid closed and is it safe to do so? Also, if this is possible, how do I set the power controls, etc.

In the power options go to advanced and in the when lid is closed option change to do nothing.
