    I bought a 5672 last month, unsuccessful on upgrading to xp sp2 with the dvd drive to function. I was able to upgrade to xp pro sp2, but after could not get the computer to recognize the dvd ram drive, has anyone upgraded there laptop to xp pro sp2 w/o any problems, horror stories to share before i reattempt? thanks

    yea, it's tough to upgrade, but if u can have a new installation, that would be easier

    I reformatted and installed XP Pro, Yes.

    I've done the same, deleted partitions, created a single 120 GB NTFS Partition and Installed Win XP SP2. No Problems.
