Hello everyone! I am new to this forum since I have just acquired my first ACER notebook and it's an entry level type, Travelmate 2420.

Now my concern is that the notebook comes with a Linux OS. And since I'm not familiar with Linux, I would like to reload it with an XP Pro. Now I would like to ask if the process of installing an XP in my notebook is the same as formatting and installing XP and all its related drivers in a desktop? I have here an original XP Pro CD but this would be my first time messing with laptops.. Thanks in advance :)

Yes, its the same as doing in a desktop. Just make sure you have all the necesary drivers and you should be good to go.
