    Hello folks!,

Just joined this forum and hoping to get some specific assistance and /or advice.

I have been given an Acer Travelmate C300 to repair. I am a novice home repair "Technician" I hoping to turn this home hobby into a paying business.

I have disassembled the notebook, down to the level of motherboard and identified the cause of the fault. I am not sure, unfortunately, where the repair lies!

There appears to be a broken part inside the motherboard power switch which "may" be missing a small piece. The external power switch, if I am explaining correctly, does not connect with the motherboard, preventing the user from powering the notebook on.

Would someone be able to advise me as to whether I need to buy a complete motherboard-or do I simply need to buy a power switch?

Hoping this is in the right forum and someone can reply to me!

    Thanks in anticipation,

    Sam.
Ps. I can submit a detailed photo , if anyone can assist me!
