I've heard lots of good things about acer and I am now considering getting one. I'm not sure which is right for me so I was hoping someone could help me out.
I want a 14" or less(12-13.3 is preferable) with a 2.0GHz or better C2D CPU(if it is available) with 1GB or better dual channel RAM, a 60-80 GB 7200rpm HD(if possible) a WSXGA or WUXGA screen, a DVDRW-CDRW drive, an ATI x1600 or better GPU(I'm leaning toward nVidea but am not set on them) and at least a 3yr full coverage warranty. I would like to get something as close to this as possible for $2000 or less(less is better)
can anyone help me on this matter?
I thank in advance all who reply.

the best ACER notebook currently is Travelmate 8210.
It's about 2100USD. -
How close is it to my specifications?

It's close except for the 14" screen. You might try an A8JM for a 14", or look at a Compal like I'm getting, a fair bit under $2000 for the whole thing ( www.powernotebooks.com)
FYI, WSXGA and WUXGA just don't really exist in 14". You'll have to get up to a 15.4" before you get anything higher than 1280x800 resolution. -
