    Hi guys,

Im considering purchasing this model. At this point I'd value any feedback from 8104 owners; some questions on my mind:

With the 2Ghz processor, is this laptop get noisy?
Any problems that prospective buyers should know about?
Would you buy it again? If not, reasonable alternatives?

    Cheers!

Don't have a 8104, but the Asus Z71v would be a reasonable alternative.

Have an 8104 for a few months now .....

Completley reformated and partioned HD was first thing I did and yes taht invalidates the system recovery.

    What I like -
Snappy perfromance - I do not to much gaming , but I multi-task many applications at a time have not had an issue
I do some video editing and DVD creation as well - works great
All the outputs I need DVI / usb / s-video
    Bluetooth (use a Bluetooth mouse)
Intergrated wireless card - have connected to various hot spots without issue
    Multi-media card reader
Lan connection on left hand side (good for right handers)
    x700 grapics card is sweet

    Disklikes
Fan noise is a little noisey in a quite room
I find the laptop can get a little warm after 8 or 9 hours
Power connector ringht hand side - would prefer the back
Multi-media card reader does not read CF
Battery life a little week - under 3 hours under stress
Speakers are weak - get external speakers or good headphones

    Problems
None (knock on wood) so far done everything Ihave asked of it

Would I buy one again ? Absolutley
Alternative ? - If not this then I would have bought a Dell 9300 (but I plan to give this one away to daughter next year so did not want the size of the 9300)
