I am in the UK and am thinking of buying this machine:

    http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/572_314315.html

It is called the Aspire 5622WLMi, but I can find very little information on it online. I am wondering if it is known as something else in the US.

Can anyone point me to any reviews, or offer an opinion on it?

I was hoping to run Adobe Indesign on it, and a bit of Photoshop work with fairly small files (20meg or less).

You shouldn't have any problems using Adobe InDesign or photoshop. It has a dedicated ATI X1300, while not the most powerful, it should be sufficient for your tasks and programs.

how much is that from comet? you could probably get a much better specification for the money.

yeah it will handle it barely the x1300 aint got much graphic horsepower.

£600. I am a total PC newbie (I'm a Mac guy normally) so feel free to suggest something better for the price - or ideally less.

    Thanks

RAM and processor are the most important when using photoshop, so I think you will do fine with that machine. If you decide to purchase something else, make sure it has 1 gig RAM atleast and not celeron / sempron processor.
