I'm looking for a new portable laptop and had my eye on the timelinex 11.6 (with i7). A friend of mine just pointed me towards the Dell m101z. Anyone have any experience with that and how it may compare to the timelinex?

There seems to be a significant price difference. I would appreciate any feedback you folks are willing to provide.

    Thanks!

The TimelineX is more powerfull, provides more computing speed - if Your usage justifies it.

What would You use it for?

Good idea to check the 1830t thread out.. is a lot of info in thereabout the 1830ts in general.
Also check out 1830t vs. m101z vs. current average

I only received my i7 1830t a couple of days ago and haven't really tested it. One thing I am changing is the hard drive out to a SSD model.

Thanks all. Yes after research I nixed m101z from my choices, however now looking into HP Pavilion dm1z also.

I would be using this for the following:
    - Internet
    - Work productivity (email/office/etc)
    - Photoshop
    - Illustrator
    - Simple video editing

    Thanks!
