My son has a new Acer Aspire 5100, which has worked like a charm for the past month. Suddenly though, we have this issue with maintaining the wireless link. Strangely, if the computer runs just on battery, it can see the available wireless network, but as soon as you "plug" in the power supply, it loses the connection and can not even find the wireless network  ! If you unplug it again, run just on battery, and refresh the available networks....viola, it sees the network and connects!! It was not doing this just a few days ago. Any ideas on why this is happening? Any advice is appreciated!

    Hi,

just kidding - The wireless lan is activated in the Acer Power Manager in the plugged profile? The wireless lan led is on if you are plugged?

Otherwise try a new bios, get the newest driver ... .

    Best wishes
