    HI,
There is a major flaw with all the Acer notebooks. Try playing any mp3 or wma file on Windows Media player on Full volume of the notebook. Also enable the equalizer setting.(also called graphic equalizer available under the view menu in Enhancements). Set the last four frequency (i.e. 2 KHz,4 Khz,8 Khz & 16 Khz) tabs on full. Now as the music file is being played try to do multi-tasking(i.e. open as many applications as possible like MS Word,Norton,Acrobat Reader etc.). The performance of the notebook becomes slower and eventually the music file gets stuck along with all the other applications and finally the notebook hangs. I have an aspire 1644 notebook(2.0 Ghz Pentium Processor,100GB hard disk, 1 Gb RAM) in which I faced the problem in the warranty period but Acer has refused to identify it as a problem.

Why would extreme multitasking be considered as a flaw of the laptop? You can not open a infinite number of applications and expect the laptop to function as if only 1 application is running.

OMG I didnt realize that! thanks for head up

Well, it's common for all laptops even for dekstop. It's same, I believe, when you bang your head into wall while at the same time you do drinking, writing, washing even cooking or whatever you like, how do you feel?

Nah give it a try lad :D
