    Memory Reccomendation for Acer TimelineX. G.Skill vs Corsair vs Samsung Vs Kingston.

    Acer TimelineX AS4830T shipped with 4GB memory( 2x2) Kingston PC3-10600 DDR3-1333. I want to replace both modules and upgrade to the full 8GB.

    What are your thoughts on how these specific laptop memory models below stand up against each other, which brand would you suggest? Reliability and stability is important, I don't want blue screens and freezes.

    Also is PC3-10600 vs PC3-10666 just marketing lingo, or does PC3-10666 really improve speed compared to PC3-10600? PC3-10666 should be fine in the TimelineX right?

    Also price is not a big factor, all the modules except for Samsung are around the same price, maybe 10 dollar difference. Samsung says RoHS compliant, not sure what that means!

    I got the GSkill kit back when it was $75 or so and it's been fine. i've since stolen one of the GSkill 4G sticks to put in my netbook and put its 2G into the 4820TG and all it fine still.

    I ended up getting the Corsair for an unbelievable deal.

    My WEI memory score went from 5.9 to 7.4 by installing the corsair 8gb kit listed above.

    Very happy with my purchase.
