I have a problem with the Acer Aspire Ethos 8951G. The laptop have 4 DDR3 slots two on the hardisk/wifi-cart side en two beneath the keyboard. After I bye the laptop thre are two 4GB DDR3 SO-Dimms installed on de harddisk/wifi-cart side en there is 8GB memory avaleble. Spec. of the laptop specify an max. memory of 16GB, so I put two 4GB DDR3 dimms into the slots under the keyboard in the free slots. Now the laptop don't start up any more, if I removed the two memory SO-DIMMs on the uperside under the keyboard averthing works normaly. I don't no why Acer delivers the laptop with 4 DDR3 slots en I can use only two of them. Is ther any solution?

Possible conflict between modules can be the cause.
If I understand correctly you have two pairs of modules and each pair is different.
Try to change the placement i.e. modules that were under the keyboard should be now near the HDD.
If that doesn't work try to mix them both ways meaning in one location module A (old set) in socket one and module B (new set) in socket two and the same thing in the other location.
Usually the first module is the leading one so if you use different set of modules in each "socket one" it may cause the problems if both primary modules have different timings or require slightly different voltage.
I hope I was clear about that. -

You could also be using DIMMs that are running at different speeds, the BIOS may not be downclocking the higher set to run inline with the other.
Also, try what downloads said, they may work in conjunction in a different way when you have more chips. The manual may hold the key to your answer!
