    Menu bar button is highlighted and pressed by itself!

    I run Windows Vista on this Acer Aspire 5100 laptop. Any app is open then Menu bar buttons keep being highlighted and/or pressed ghostly, just like when one uses the Alt+ shortcuts to highlight menu bar options. The effect used to fade after half an hour, but now it is permanent. Then it used to fade when I unplugged the charger to leave only battery, but not anymore. In order to use the laptop I must keep Esc pressed to avoid menu button actions. Please help me!
