Can anyone confirm this for me?

    I'm researching the 1810T-8638 (SU7300),
I am concerned about the Extra PCI Express slot,
I found a few photos of the components, but it looks like
it does not allow it to be used since the socket is missing,
Is this how it is when you buy the PC, I don't understand why
there would be a slot for this, if you can't use it.

Here is photos I've found showing this..

I am still considering buy this machine, after they come available again, but hinders my plans for adding an SSD pci express in that slot.

If anyone has an Acer Timeline 1810T-8638, could you confirm if your PC is the same?

An SSD wouldn't work, because that slot only contains an USB port. The slot is made for 3G modules. On 3G enabled models this slot is populated.
