...is there one? My Travelmate C110 (after undergoing some routine modifications by myself) has stopped letting me run my OS. Each time i turn it on and i enter setup to access BIOS it asks me for a password that i do not know. Leaving the tablet for a few seconds after you switch on results in the screen going black and asking for another password.

I would like very much to reset the motherboard (sure i loose everthing but there wasnt really anything on there in the first place) and start from scratch. although i heared that there isnt a reset switch on tablets due to them being used for office and schools - no reset switch is apparently a security feature. can anyone confirm this for me? if not does anyone know where the swicth is?

We can't help you with that. You will just have to contact Acer to have the motherboard reset.
