I'm finally in a position to consider buying the dual core netbook I've wanted ever since the category was born and so far my main candidates are the HP DM1 and the 1810tz. Despite being significantly more expensive, I'm leaning towards the tz but I'm slightly concerned by repeated comments on reviews and blogs re the flexiness of the keyboard. I know that people have found a way to fix this, but while I'm happy to do nearly anything software based on a computer, I'm less confident about my ability to mess with hardware. Thus I'd like to know.... how many people here have experienced flex on their tz keyboards? How many of you found it problematic enough to do the mod? And what do recent buyers (ie, Jan/Feb 2010 on) think of their keyboards?

    Thanks!

I have a 1410T and an 1810TZ.Both keyboards are rock solid,no flex at all.I would hardly call removing the keyboard and applying a little double sided tape(if there is aflex of course) a"hardware mode".It takes 3 minutes.

You do the exact same thing for the 1810tz.

Anyone have a direct link to the post showing where exactly to place the double-sided scotch tape?
