    Hey guys,
I got my 8204, and I havent really done anything to the settings, but when I plug in my network cable, it simply says "Limited or no connectivity". I used to connect all the time with my old computer and it would just connect automatically. I can't get online to do anything on it so I'm a stuck. Does anyone know what the problem is? I've been messing with TCP/IP settings but nothing works, Thanks

Ok I remember now...I need the all knowing LAN patch, which is one of those gripes about the 8200. Well, where do I get one? Someone said that Acer has it but I couldnt find it.

Anyone? I really need help soon. People claim that a program called WinSockXP fixes the problem but I dont want to mess up this brand new computer. I went to Acer.com and got a LAN driver but when I click on the exe file, it prompts me to UNINSTALL the driver...?

    Thanks again

    iamapato01,

Is your laptop running on power cord or battery. because the default profile for battery turns off LAN. open up ePower management and you will see.
