Hello, my DVD/CD ROM drive is: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N.

Long time ago I dropped the laptop on the floor and the optical drive didn't work anymore, today something strange happened. I just turned the laptop on and the device was installing the drive, I was like :O Whaaaat? And it actually worked like normal, but then I turned the laptop off to see if it continues working and to see if it's shown in BIOS, and guess what, the optical drive didn't work anymore.

Is there anything I can do to fix the problem? The problem is optical drive's or laptop's?

    Thanks.

Well, if you dropped it on the floor, it is easily possible that something has come loose. It could be either in the drive or the machine itself.
