    Hi everyone,

I don't normally shut down my computer, I just close the screen and it goes to standby mode on its own. However, I have noticed that the few times where I restart the computer, it stops on the 'shutting down' screen and it won't restart. I manually shut it down by holiding the on/off button and then when I press it again, I have to choose 'start windows normally' and that's it. This only happens when I restart, not when I shut down.

It seems like such a random problem but I'm scared that it's something a lot more serious. I have Windows 7 ultimate by the way.

Thank you very much for your help!

    Could be ACPI drivers.
Just go into Device Manager and check.
    I don't own a ASUS/Aspire, so can't help more than that.
