i want to buy one of these and then remove the print reader and install it into the the top of my laptop. i'm trying to figure out where it will be best to locate it...

if i can't figure out a way to place it in the upper plastic section where the POWER BUTTON (but to the FAR LEFT OR RIGHT SIDE),,
second choice, i'll check out the area where the BLUE CELERON sticker is... but i fear the express slot 54 will prevent that location.....

so i may have go to the same area on the opposite side which is the right hand side (probably the best choice since the INTERNAL USB hub runs off that port) i could possibly even remove that USB PORT and put the print reader in the hole that is already there. this option sounds better the more i think about it...

i need to order this thing before they are outta stock....
anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

I agree with that, I never use my right side usb port, becuase if anything is sticking out it gets in the way of my mouse.

Also, whats up with that 5315 having what looks like a "Windows XP (Compatible With Windows Vista)" sticker?

no clue about the stickers on that laptop,, i "borrowed" the pic via google
my pc has the same stickers on the left... an INTEL CELERON STICKER,, and a VISTA BASIC sticker.
the XP is my own little project... thanks to alex at SOULPASS
of course not! it's like your BIKE, it's the fun of doing it myself with things that i want to try.
it's the joy of the work and knowing that i have something unique... it's like "PIMPING my PC",, making it more than it was ever intended to be... and ofcourse BRAGGING RIGHTS
