Just wanted to share my results with the Acer Aspire 5102 and Windows Vista RC1 Beta.

    Background information:
First I resized D:\ to 27 gigs with Partition Magic
Then I created a new partion with the remaining space
Downloaded and burnt x64 version of Vista RC1
Installed Vista onto new partion (v:\)
    Installed Windows Live Messenger.

After Installation I had to use windows update to update the HD Sound Driver. I will have to find updates for the Camara and flash memory drivers manually.

With this setup, So far everything runs fine, and is fairly responsive (We will see what happens when I get some load on it). The Windows Performance Experience Index has given my system an overall rating of 2.8, Breakdown is as follows:

    Processor 4.6
    Memory 3.9
    Graphics 2.8
    Gaming Graphics 3.0
    Primary Hard Drisk 4.2

    Times:
From push of the power button to the windows welcome sound is 49.04 Seconds
From that sound to full start up is another 23.95 seconds.
Total Start Up Time: 72.99 Seconds

Shutdown time with everything above running is 19.38 Seconds

Next I will be installing Tweak VI, and then I will see how much I can reduce those times.

If there are any requests for test's, let me know.
