Any help will be apreciated...
Yes, after I closed my laptop with PowerOff/Hibernate button, it restarts itself. It has a lan connection and an USB mouse, but disconecting them doesn't change the scenario... it is still restarts and remains On.
My bios doesn't have option for "power on activity on LAN/etc". I haven't installed any program, not either configured my machine to act like this...
Is it annoying because I often find my laptop On next day, heated...![]()

- Right click on the battery symbol in the system tray -> Adjust Power Properties
- -> Advanced Tab
- Under Power Buttons, set what the power buttons do for example set
"When I press the Power Button of my computer" to "Shut Down". Same for closing the lid, set that to "Stand by".
If you are using Acer's ePowerManager, there are the same options in there, but I don't have them handy - you could just uninstall ePowerManager and follow the steps I outlined. IMHO, ePowerManager is completely useless and in fact worse than the built-in power controls in Windows XP. But that's just my opinion
My Travelmate is restarting after I pushed POWEROFF or HIBERNATE
