I HOPE that it's suppose to be this way and I have to make it first, otherwise I think they forgot to pack it.

If that's the case, how do I make windows vista if I need to format?
I plan on formatting to remove all these extra programs.

No, 99% of new PC's don't come with an "original" copy of Windows Vista.

To get that, you need to get hold of a new copy of Vista.

When I say no, it WILL include vista, but it will also include a whole bunch of crap.

Okay I went to eRecovery and made the factory settings CD and the Drivers CD.

I didn't use create the current system configuration back up disk. Do I need this?

Now, after I made those CDs, how do I reformat, put everything back into 1 partition and get my windows back WITHOUT any acer stuff or any other extra advertisement (e.g. norton etc) they put in?

YES! I do have the windows anytime upgrade CD. But I thought I had to pay for that?

So what should I go with that CD? Put it in before my computer starts or what? What happens when they ask me for a CD key?

Okay I was looking through the steps and I see this:

Step 7. This time, do enter the Product Key from the Vista packaging. Once again, turn off the option Automatically activate Windows when I'm online.

I'm looking at my windows anytime upgrade box and the only numbers I have on the case are:
    -CD SET
    -QPN
    -APN
    -EN
    -WO

    which one do I use?

You must purchase a cd key from microsoft to use the windows anytime upgrade cd. This cd is not provided by acer; but my microsoft. You do not have a liscense for the anytime upgrade cd unless you purchase one. The cd is only to be used if you would like to upgrade your current version of vista to a higher one (ex: basic to premium or premium to ultimate).

Just go to add/remove programs and uninstall all of the acer programs and norton internet security if you do not need them. The acer recovery discs you created will put the unit back to factory settings.
