    Hello
Yesterday i got my new laptop acer travelmate 8210. This Laptop is working very well and looks great but i have 2 issues.
My first issue is that the Touchpad buttons are not straight but I can live with that.
Second issue is that on the side of a laptop was a litle stain from like a "krazy glue". I scratch the stain off but i am still disappointed that in a laptop for 2000$ there is a litle problem like this.

Now I have a question for the owners of a Acer TM8210. Can I change the speed of CPU less then 1000Mhz?
I try at Acer Power Managment and Notebook Hardware Control and non of them does not lower CPU speed below 1000Mhz.

kabal: I don't think you can change the speed below 1GHz with Acer's software. Maybe there's another program that can.

Sorry to hear about your defects, just be thankful your screen is OK! Also, would you be kind enough to tell me if your built-in microphone works? I don't think mine does, but I haven't ruled out the possibility that I'm overlooking something with the configuration... Thank you!

Today I tested my built-in microphone. It works fine. I just installed a software Realtek HD Audio for Windows XP ( http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=3&GetDown=false#High Definition Audio Codecs) Try this software not oryginal Acer's soft.. maybe this'll help.
