    umm..i have a aspire 5672 and all i do is press the standby or shift + hibernate button and nothing happens.

    umm..started last week i think? yea i d/led stuff...vlc media player..some movies/songs, spy bot search and destroy..

    Did you remove any files when you ran Spybot Search and Destroy?

    ok i think it works now...after i restored and windows did some updates yayy

    Check you mem. Mine does the same thing, works 75% of the time. I really think corrupt memory is the problem. Try buying new sticks, replacing all of Acer's stock ones and see if the problem persists.
