i have the acer aspire 5672WLMi core duo 1.66, ati x1600 128MB dedicated, 120 GB SATA HDD, 1 gb ddr2 RAM

    ok heres my problem:

my laptop was working all fine while i was at college. then i packed it up and went home for thanksgiving break. it was a 3 hr drive and my laptop was sitting in the back seat. i gently set it down as it is my baby :p.

i got to my house and i turned it on to try to connect to the internet via wireless. i had a little problem connecting so i restarted and it made it to the bios screen, started to load windows, and just as you're supposed to go to the login screen there's a bsod (blue screen of death). so i said hey this has never happened to me so i'll just let it go. i restarted again, and it happened again. so i decided to restart in safe mode. and was got all good until like i said before the bsod again at where the logon screen is supposed to be and restarts.

i even tried loading knoppix 3.8 and 4.0.2 and neither of them would load it would just freeze and stop. i left it for like 10 mins like that and... nothing.

so one of my conclusions is my x1600 is fried, or there is something wrong with my hard drive it gives the

    unmountable/boot_volume

and it may be the HDD. i am not sure

does anyone know if i will have to send my laptop back to acer? i still have the 1 year warantee. i just bought this computer in mid august.

Thank you very much to anyone that can help.

that or when you are in safe mode do a system restore to a previous date, i know it was not caused by some software you put on it. if is not a hardware problem it might fix it. unless you have alread formated you drive.
