I'm not sure what happened as the babysitter was on my computer while I was gone...when I went to turn on my Acer, this is the message I got...
    NTLDR is missing
    Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
I did that and once again got the same message.
I tried using the eRecovery (alt+f10) and gave me the options to restore using disk or to factory settings. I chose the factory settings as this computer did not come with any discs. It went 53% through the restore program and then it stopped leaving me the message...
    Restore failed!
    Reason:0x0000006

I'm not a genius when it comes to these things, but does anyone have any advice or opinions on what I can try next? I would greatly appreciate!

Start your computer and continuously press F8. There is probably a repair menu once you get there. If that doesn't work, reboot doing the same and try the last successful configuration (which prob wont work as the file is corrupt).

If all else fails put the Win 7 disk in and boot to the disk, select install and repair the OS.

    Last resort...reinstall OS.

Thank you, but I tried the F8 and the Acer just beeped at me repeatedly. As it didn't come with any disks and I must have misplaced the back up disks I had, I guess I will have to order the System disk from Acer. The OS is Windows XP...guess I should have posted that first...oops! But thanks for your time and effort!
