I need some informations about Acer TravelMate 3201XCi and Acer Aspire 1681WLMi. i'm thinking to buy one of them from Newegg, but i still missing some informations:
    1) Bluetooth (i read that some of owners bouth from newegg with the bluetooth, and some of them without)? Form me it's the most important.
    2) how about viewing angle and quality of LCD
    3) changing memory modules
    4) personal opinion- witchone is better.
    5) any sugestions about different models??

Please, i am tired calling to newegg and acer looking for answers witch they do not have!

    Thank you.

    LeoBART,

    1. Users have confirmed that the 3201 has Bluetooth. Some users with the 4501WLMi have indcated that they too have Bluetooth, but I haven't read any with a 1681WLMi with Bluetooth.

    2. The LCD's have been reported as decent but the colors are a bit on the lighter side. I believe the 15.4" LCD's are the wide viewing angle models, so the angle should be approx +50/-50 degrees horizontal & vertical.

    3. The User Guide on their site shows how to to the upgrade. It's generally changing the module on the underside of the unit. The other module may be under the keyboard, a bit more difficult to get to.

    4. The 3201 is better for mobility when you need a small & light unit to carry around with you all day long & has XP Pro. The 1681 is generally the same except that it has a larger 15.4" Wide screen LCD, DVD burner and XP Home. Completely a user preference.

    5. You can take a look at the 4500 Series. The 4501WLMi has possibly been replaced by a newer 4502WLMi (Faster CPU). This is exactly the same as the 1681 but has a larger battery (8 cell) for 5hrs of runtime and XP Pro.

But which of these two has a bluetooth?? (4501 or 4502). On newegg 4502 is not the wide screen. I was looking on 4500 series and I thing it's a goog notebook. If I only known witch one has bluetooth for sure.

Happy 4500 sries user (newegg buyers) "show my the light"!! It's harder decision than i though. I'm bagging for more informations about these laptops

    THANKU YOU
