Did you take this screenshot with 5.1 audio setup connected?
Also check Realtek HD Audio Manager.

I play games on my laptop as well and it restarts or turns off due to heating, i have figured out a method by which it doesn't restart or turns off. If you are a student and you have thick books with you then you have got the solution to keep your laptop cool and calm. Simply put the books spaced and mount the laptop on it, the position of laptop might be like the boundaries of your laptop will be on the books and there is enough space between the books so that the air can pass by beneath the laptop.
And the second problem you have is that you don't have a 5.1 audio channel support sound card in you system so you cannot have that. Rather buy good 2.1 channel speakers with a 5.25 inches woofer. That will help you enjoy listening some good bass sounds.

SpeedofSilence is right- I dodn't check that but this notebook uses Realtek ALC269 which is a two channel card.
