From what I search and see in this forum, my 5672WLMi's processor can be upgraded to merom right?

So, I went out and ask around in computer hardware dealer shops. and NONE told me I can upgrade it  They all said it's either I change a new laptop or stick with my current one.. I kept telling them about this laptop brand and spec, and they said they know about it (which I doubt).

Well, can anyone point me in the right direction? My BIOS system version is v1.3234. Do I need to install them manually? is it doable? I'm really getting frustrated over the different information I heard and read. Thanks :)

    Thanks for the link pyros!

I was only trying to confirm whether an upgrade is possible and to check prices for the chip and that link told me all. BTW, I was getting wrong information from all the retail shops since they were very ignorant (or to be harsh: F*K STUPID) bout the fact that the my motherboard chipset can support upgrade to merom...... AND they mislead me by talking bout the intel e6xxx core duo 2 chip which is for desktop upgrade! told them I'm upgrading for a laptop! so figures.....

I had to spend an hour searching and googling around. well, found everything i need.. price sure is high, 1.83GHz T5600: $395, 2GHz T7200: $475 and 2.16GHz T7400: $677 ($=AUD).

should I get a 2.0GHz or 2.16GHz... why difference in price so big on these 2 :(
