Ok, Hi everyone... Iam new here, but iam not new with acer 5920g. I recently burn my 8600m gt 256m video card and all iam getting is white screen with red and blue lines across the screen, and i read some reviews on this site by replacing with 8600m gt 512m. So i order one from asus Model: 90-C1CIZ5-JXBN00Z. I just got it today, install new asus card, and all iam getting is a black screen... Please I need your help finding the rigth video card for my 5920g. If there is one, and you have one, let me know, and i'll buy it from you.

The 8600M GT you bought is for the Asus C90s and probably isn't compatible with your Acer 5920.

Your best bet would be to check with Acer or a retailer if they sell the 8600M GT separately.

I expect the 8600M GT to be soldered onto the motherboard though, which means you're basically S-O-L if that's the case.

I dont think they sell 8600m gt that compatible with acer 5920... Probably my best bet is to buy from acer, if they only have one! If they dont, iam screwed.

I put this card in my 7720. Do a search on these forums and you will find the instructions.

Your new card will work; you just need to flash it with the correct bios.
