There is a buzzing sound from my fan when i tilt it and like for the first few seconds of it starting up. The rest of the time it runs without any disturbance (or so it sounds like it) Is this normal? Ive heard of this possibly occurring for the hard disk as well, however, to be sure i booted my notebook without the hard disk and still had the sound upon tilt, thus coming to the conclusion that it is surely not my hard disk.

Can anyone here shed some light? i used the vacuum cleaner to try to clean it a bit, now while it is not 100% clean, it has really got minimal dust on it (im missing an even smaller screw drive so i really wasnt able to access the fan as a whole.I was only able to clean it by removing the keyboard. So i was not really able to fully inspect it.

Anyone knowledgeable can shed some light?
    Thank you in advance,
    shadeh

    Hi,
Sounds to me like something is catching in the wings of the fan (a bit like if you were to stick our finger in a handheld cooling fan) - although I would need to hear what kind of buzzing this is. Have you checked for any kind of rattling?

Thanks for the fast reply i honestly do not know how to describe it. But i made a video, might have to turn the volumes up a little bit, hope it helps. Thanks

i tested and indeed you will have to turn up the volume.

edit: worth stating is despite which side it is tilted. bit to the left, straight, right.. the sound stops once it has that position. It mainly occurs for like 1 second when it is booting and the rest of the time it is not there unless i move it.

Likely your fan needs to be oiled.

Or replaced for that matter- but it's definitely the fan. I had that issue two laptops ago (so to speak) and ended up replacing the fan.
