Hi guys,
Following are my laptop specifications
- Intel Core i3 - 370M processor
- 2 GB DDR3 RAM (Single slot)
- 500 GB HardDisk
From CPU - Z, i got following information
DRAM frequency - 532.2 MHz
FSBRAM - 4:16
I have started using some softwares which consumes high amount of memory/CPU. So i am planning to upgrade my RAM.
It would be great if anyone can suggest me which RAM should i buy with what frequency?

Hi,
This is only for your guidance, you don't need to buy from Crucial(they are expensive IMO), you could try shop around in other outlets,
4GB kit (2GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM, DDR3 PC3-10600 upgrades for Acer Aspire 5742 Laptop/Notebook, CT2383050 from Crucial.com -
This is what you want Amazon.com: Corsair 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 1066 MHz (PC3 8500) Laptop Memory (CM3X4GSD1066): Electronics
It could be $5 cheaper butt hn you would get some random brand.
Also your would be required to install a 64bit operating system to fully utilize this. You can still use your cd-key with it as long as its the same windows version Home Premium,Ultimate etc
so if you had home premium then unstalled home premium 64bit the cd-key will still work.
You would also need to install 64bit drivers -
Need help : Acer Aspire 5742 upgrade
